Job summary

Universal Investment is seeking a dedicated risk reporting professional to join our fund risk management team in Kraków. You will deliver risk and performance reports for UCITS and AIF funds, analyze market, liquidity, and counterparty risks, and support regulatory reporting.

You will collaborate with clients, IT teams, and system providers, perform VaR and stress testing, resolve data issues, and help ensure compliance with European frameworks while maintaining high data quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of European fund risk and investment compliance.
• Knowledge of derivatives and related risks.
• Experience with the investment fund industry.
• Analytical thinking and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Produce risk reports for UCITS and AIF in compliance with directives and regulations.
• Risk measurement & analysis: manage market, counterparty, liquidity risk; calculate VaR and perform stress testing.
• Investigate and resolve data/analytics issues in calculation processes.
• Ensure production of performance, contribution, and attribution reports.
• Manage customer relations on risk measurement and investment compliance reporting.
• Set up report parameters (rules and limits).
• Carry out system tests and validate results with IT and system providers.

Join a team specializing in fund risk management and regulatory reporting for UCITS and AIF funds. You will be responsible for delivering risk and performance reports, analyzing market, liquidity, and counterparty risks, performing VaR and stress testing, resolving data issues, supporting investment compliance reporting, and collaborating with clients, IT teams, and system providers.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Produce risk reports for UCITS and AIF that comply with directives and regulations
• Risk Measurement & Analysis: manage various advanced risk measures including but not limited to market risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk. Calculate and assess Value-at-Risk, stress testing, scenario analysis, and other risk metrics.
• Investigation and resolution of data/analytics issues in calculation processes
• Ensure production of performance, contribution, and attribution reports
• Manage customer relations on all issues relating to risk measurement and investment compliance reporting
• Setting up report parameters (rules and limits)
• Carrying out system tests and validating the results with IT and system providers

Your skills and experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, Big Data and Business Analytics, Business Mathematics, Business Administration, or related subject
• Good understanding of European regulatory frameworks in fund risk and investment compliance
• Good understanding of derivatives and associated risks
• Good knowledge of the investment fund industry
• Analytical & problem solving skills and ability to explain complicated concepts clearly
• Knowledge of an investment restriction or risk calculation tool is an advantage.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
