Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Engineer to join an enterprise‑scale Discovery Engineering squad. You will design and build AI agents that analyze Discovery logs, classify failures, and generate corrections to probes and patterns, while developing observability agents for MID Server health.

The role requires hands‑on ServiceNow Discovery experience, including MID Servers, Patterns/Probes, CMDB/CSDM data quality, and strong infrastructure troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, including MID Servers and patterns/probes.
• Experience with CMDB/CSDM and CI identification/reconciliation.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows Server in infra environments.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, SSH, WMI/WinRM, SNMP, HTTP/S.
• Ability to turn troubleshooting playbooks into structured workflows.
• Familiarity with observability tools: Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess health of the ServiceNow Discovery ecosystem including MID Servers, schedules, throughput, latency, failures, retries, and coverage.
• Convert operational knowledge into structured, documented workflows to reduce manual investigation.
• Collect and interpret metrics from Discovery, logs, and monitoring platforms to drive improvements.
• Investigate complex infra attributes to ensure data quality and successful discovery execution.
