Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Engineer to join an enterprise-scale squad responsible for discovery across millions of targets on daily and weekly schedules. You will design AI agents to analyze logs, classify failures, identify root causes, and improve Discovery probes and patterns with testing guardrails.

You will also develop observability agents to monitor MID Server health, throughput, and coverage, leveraging Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ServiceNow Discovery experience including MID Servers, patterns/probes, credentials, schedules, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CMDB/CSDM, CI identification, reconciliation, relationships, and data quality.
• Strong infrastructure engineering knowledge across Linux/Windows, virtualization, cloud, and network basics.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess health of the ServiceNow Discovery ecosystem, including MID Servers, schedules, target execution, throughput, latency, failures, and coverage.
• Convert runbooks and troubleshooting procedures into documented workflows to reduce manual investigation.
• Collect and interpret metrics from Discovery, logs, and monitoring platforms to drive improvements.
• Investigate complex infrastructure attributes to ensure data quality and successful discovery.
