AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community.

The role focuses on developing an inventory of reports and artifacts, assessing relevance and value, and translating business needs into well-defined requirements. You will engage stakeholders, organize workshops, and help shape the reporting portfolio.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of business analysis and requirements-management experience.
• Ability to interview stakeholders and facilitate requirements workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing reporting or analytics portfolios.
• Translate complex business needs into structured requirements.
• Develop process maps, documentation, reporting inventories and roadmaps.
• Strong analytical skills to identify duplicates, gaps, inconsistencies, and simplification opportunities.
• Ability to work across business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to drive requirements through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of reports, dashboards, metrics, and related artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business needs and use cases.
• Assess reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, and value.
• Identify gaps and reports no longer serving a purpose.
• Develop recommendations to retain, enhance, consolidate, replace, or decommission reporting.
• Identify stakeholder groups and personas consuming or producing reports.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to understand objectives and needs.
• Translate needs into well-defined requirements and ensure traceability.
• Develop target-state reporting portfolio based on requirements and findings.
• Define which reports to create, enhance, consolidate, retain, or retire.
• Establish ownership and governance for reports and data sources.
• Create a sustainable process for managing reporting changes and periodic reviews.
