Job summary

HedgeServ is a global provider of fund administration, offering NAV calculations, investor services and related controls. The Fund Accounting Vice President will lead teams up to 30 staff, drive process improvements, and ensure timely, accurate NAV reporting for multiple clients.

The role requires extensive hedge fund industry experience, strong leadership, and ability to manage complex client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in hedge fund administration at a senior level, with at least 3 years at AVP level.
• Completed bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work within a team or independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence team morale and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Participate in new client meetings, demonstrating HedgeServ software and discussing accounting topics with focus on fund structures.
• Work with AVP/VP/MD team to develop HedgeServ services.
• Understand all aspects of NAV calculation including fee calculations and P&L allocations.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for assigned fund accounting teams.
• Efficiently manage multiple client relationships.
• Ensure team operates within defined control environment.
• Develop and enhance workflows to reflect changing controls.
• Recruit, train and evaluate fund accounting staff.
• Resolve employee complaints with HR and MD group.
• Prepare and review financial and regulatory reports.
• Maintain relationships with client brokers, auditors and legal counsel.
• Manage transitions of new clients to HedgeServ platform.
• Coordinate with Investor Services, QA, BD, Operations and Compliance.
