Job summary

HedgeServ, a global fund administrator, is seeking a Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to lead a NAV team and ensure accurate NAV calculations. You will supervise up to seven staff, coordinate cash, position and reconciliation processes, and mentor staff through induction and ongoing training.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business/finance, 5+ years in hedge fund administration, and a drive to pursue professional accounting qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
• 5+ years’ experience working in a hedge fund administration firm.
• Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA), if not already started, part qualified or qualified, would be an advantage but is not required.
• IT literate.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong systems, product and process knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and well organized.
• Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Quality control review of cash, position and market value reconciliations.
• Oversee timely resolution of aged items.
• Review fund pricing and corporate actions.
• Review profit and loss reports for reasonableness.
• Review income and expense accruals including fee calculations and trading accruals.
• Review fund trial balance and profit allocations to fund investors.
• Ensure compliance with HedgeServ checklists, procedures and controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve fund-related issues.
• Support Managers in addressing escalated fund accounting enquiries.
• Respond to client queries promptly.
