Job summary

Citi Solutions Center Poland is hiring a Reconciliation Analyst to perform daily reconciliations across Nostro, Cash and Suspense accounts, resolving exceptions and identifying root causes. You will leverage AI-enabled tools and data analytics to improve efficiency and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 1+ year in reconciliation or related fields, strong Excel skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in Reconciliation or related Financial Operations roles.
  • Proficient in Excel with advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with reconciliation platforms and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations across Nostro, Cash, and Suspense accounts with timely exception resolution.
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage aged breaks, transitory balances, and outstanding items.
  • Analyze transactional data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close with accurate reconciliation completion.
  • Identify control gaps and operational risks; propose corrective actions.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve exception management and reporting.
  • Use AI and digital tech for data analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support UAT, process transitions, and implementation of new systems.

Job description

The Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for performing complex reconciliation activities, investigating and resolving exceptions, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting operational excellence across assigned accounts and processes. The role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving capabilities, and an understanding of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools, to drive efficiency and process improvements.

The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the control environment, reducing operational risk, enhancing reconciliation effectiveness, and supporting the organization's digital transformation agenda through data-driven insights and automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform daily reconciliations across assigned Nostro, Cash, and Suspense accounts, ensuring timely identification and resolution of exceptions
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes, and coordinate with Operations, Technology, Finance, Product, and Business teams
  • Manage aged breaks, transitory balances, and outstanding reconciliation items
  • Analyze transactional data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process optimization
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities by ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation completion
  • Proactively identify control gaps and operational risks, recommend corrective actions
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, data analytics, and automation solutions to improve exception management, reporting, productivity, and decision-making
  • Utilize AI and digital technologies for data analysis and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), process transitions, and implementation of new systems
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in Reconciliation, Financial Operations, Treasury Operations, Cash Management, Payments, or Banking Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience working with reconciliation platforms and operational reporting tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify actionable insights
  • Effective communication
