Job summary

Citi in Poland is seeking a Reconciliation Senior Analyst to perform daily reconciliations across Nostro, Cash and Suspense accounts, identify and resolve exceptions, and strengthen the control environment. You will leverage AI-enabled tools and data analytics to drive process improvements, support month-end and year-end close, and collaborate with Operations, Technology, Finance and Business teams.

Minimum 2 years of experience in reconciliation or related financial operations and strong Excel

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in Reconciliation, Financial Operations, Treasury Operations, Cash Management, Payments, or Banking Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis
  • Experience working with reconciliation platforms and operational reporting tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify actionable insights
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations across Nostro, Cash and Suspense accounts, ensuring timely identification and resolution of exceptions
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes and coordinate with Operations, Technology, Finance, Product, and Business teams
  • Manage aged breaks, transitory balances and outstanding reconciliation items
  • Analyze transactional data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process optimization
  • Prepare and maintain management reports, dashboards, KPIs, and exception reporting for stakeholders and senior management
  • Participate in process improvement, automation, and transformation projects to enhance productivity and strengthen controls
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in escalating issues, managing controls and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and its assets
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close activities by ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation completion
  • Proactively identify control gaps and operational risks, recommend corrective actions
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, data analytics and automation solutions to improve exception management, reporting, productivity, and decision-making
  • Utilize AI and digital technologies for data analysis and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), process transitions and implementation of new systems

Job description

The Reconciliation Senior Analyst is responsible for performing complex reconciliation activities, investigating and resolving exceptions, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting operational excellence across assigned accounts and processes. The role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving capabilities, and an understanding of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools, to drive efficiency and process improvements.

The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the control environment, reducing operational risk, enhancing reconciliation effectiveness, and supporting the organization's digital transformation agenda through data-driven insights and automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

Requirements:
