Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a technically sharp Security Architect (Presales) to join our Network & Data Security practice in the Northeast region. This role acts as the primary technical resource supporting the sales cycle, partnering with Account Executives to design solutions and demonstrate value to customers.

The position is remote with travel required (30–50%), and candidates must reside in the Northeast region. Prior presales experience and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in network and data security engineering, architecture, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of NGFW, SD-WAN/SASE, ZTNA, IDS/IPS, VPNs.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% regionally; home/remote work when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical resource in the sales cycle for network and data security opportunities.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer environments and drivers.
• Design and present tailored security solutions and architecture diagrams.
• Deliver product demonstrations, POCs, and technical workshops (virtual/on-site).
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical content and positioning.
• Build relationships with customer technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and delivery teams.
