Job summary

Customs Support Group is seeking an experienced Customs Declarant for Norway to join our international operations. You will handle import and export declarations for shipments to and from Norway, support transit procedures, and ensure documentation accuracy.

This permanent, full-time role requires collaboration with suppliers, carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance and regulatory compliance within a dynamic cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in customs, logistics, freight forwarding or international trade.
• Knowledge of current customs laws, regulations and procedures related to import and export.
• Practical experience in customs declarations and goods classification.
• Understanding of transit procedures and customs documentation.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and customs clearance software.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs declarations for import and export shipments to and from Norway.
• Handle transit procedures and maintain accurate bonded warehouse records.
• Register, review and perform quality assurance checks on customs and trade documentation.
• Ensure declarations comply with applicable laws and procedures.
• Perform goods classification and ensure accurate data in declarations.
• Provide guidance regarding documentation requirements for border crossings.
• Cooperate with suppliers, carriers, recipients and internal teams for efficient clearance.
• Identify and resolve issues related to documentation and clearance procedures.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance and service quality.
