Job summary

Universal Investment in Kraków is seeking a Middle Office specialist to support trade confirmation processing, settlement instructions, and daily interactions with front office, clients, brokers, custodians. You will monitor trades for timely settlement and assist with pre-matching and re-booking as needed.

The role requires fluency in English, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. Hybrid working model offered, with private health care and pension benefits supporting employee growth

Qualifications

• Experience in Middle Office function and understanding of settlement cycles for securities.
• University degree in Economics or Finance (or equivalent).
• Fluency in English is required.
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Servicing all aspects of trade confirmation processing and settlement instruction creation across multiple products.
• Daily contact with front office, clients, brokers, custodians, and fund accounting to resolve trade-related enquiries and settlement issues.
• Monitor trades to ensure timely settlement, pre-matching, canceling, and re-booking as needed.
• Indexing securities transactions and dispatching documents to the accounting department.
• Entering, matching, and validating transferable securities transactions.
• Sending settlement instructions to custodian banks.
• Processing payment instructions.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Servicing all aspects of trade confirmation processing and settlement instruction creation and dispatch across multiple products traded
• Daily contact with front office, clients, brokers, custodians, and fund accounting to resolve trade related enquiries, trade discrepancies settlement issues
• Monitoring trades to ensure timely settlement processing. Pre-matching, cancelling, and re-booking of trades
• Indexing of securities transactions and dispatching of documents to the accounting department,
• Entering, matching, checking, validating for transferable securities transactions
• Sending settlement instructions to custodian banks
• Processing payment instructions

Your skills and experience:

• Experience in Middle Office function - good knowledge of the functioning of collective investment vehicles, the business of the Custodian Bank, cycles, and systems of settlement of securities,
• University degree in Economics or Finance (or equivalent),
• Fluency in English
• Strong analytical skillset and attention to details, solution orientation
