Job summary

UPM - The Biofore Company in Poland (Wrocław) is seeking a Billing Manager to lead the Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing team within the Finance function. You will drive standardization, ensure accurate, on-time billing, and develop processes and interfaces.

The role requires 5+ years in billing, strong leadership in a global matrix, and SAP SD/FI expertise, with fluent English and willingness to travel. This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work with regular on-site

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in economics and business administration or similar education.
• “more than 5 years of relevant experience” in a global matrix organization.
• Deep knowledge and experience with billing and recharging processes, controls and systems.
• Good knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping principles as well as Lead to Cash end to end process.
• Experience user of SAP SD and FI.
• Fluent in English and international business experience.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead Billing team responsible for Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing operations.
• Drive Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing process standardization and efficiency, as well as accurate and on-time delivery of billing and internal recharging services.
• Drive adoption of best practice in billing process development, and automate where relevant.
• Develop and implement Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing processes, templates and interfaces.
• Ensure good cooperation with all stakeholders and world-class customer experience and compliance to UPM policies and rules so that internal controls are effective.
• Owner of processing documentation and instructions.
• Participate in Lead to Cash end-to-end process development and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide own area expertise in different UPM projects.

What you’ll do

• Lead Billing team responsible for Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing operations
• Drive Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing process standardization and efficiency, as well as accurate and on-time delivery of billing and internal recharging services
• Drive adoption of best practice in billing process development, and automate where relevant
• Develop and implement Billing & Miscellaneous Invoicing processes, templates and interfaces
• Ensure good co-operation with all stakeholders and world class customer experienceand compliance to UPM policies and rules so that internal controls are effective
• Owner of processing documentation and instructions
• Participate in Lead to Cash end to end process development and continuous improvement activities together with other Customer Operations in Finance, Finance Operations and Business teams
• Provide own area expertise in different UPM projects

Who you are

• You have Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration or similar education
• You have more than 5 years of relevant experience
• You have experience in people, team and change managementand have good leadership & co-operation skills in a global matrix organization
• You have deep knowledge and experience with billing and recharging processes, controls and systems
• You have good knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping principlesas well as Lead to Cash end to end process
• You are experienced user of SAP SD and FI
• You have strong collaboration, influencing skills with flexible, positive and proactive attitude towards changing environment
• You are fluent in English and have experience from international business
• You are willing to travel

Additional information

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Wrocław.

The position holder will report to Senior Manager, Customer Account Management.
