Job summary

ALTEN in Warsaw is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to diagnose and fix issues across bare-metal hardware, Linux, and networking environments. You will analyze installation logs and OS metrics, collaborate with hardware teams, and ensure CI/CD pipelines run smoothly in a globally connected setup.

The role focuses on supporting AI cluster deployments, coordinating a shift-based team, and interfacing with international technical leads. Hybrid work model in Poland is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• DNS, DHCP, routing, switching concepts with 5+ years experience.
• Hardware/Firmware troubleshooting incl. bare-metal servers, BIOS, BMC.
• Strong analytical skills; ticket handling and log analysis.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with PXE/netboot deployment.

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOUR CHALLENGES BE?

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues across advanced bare-metal hardware, Linux operating systems, and networking environments.
• Analyzing installation logs, OS-level metrics, and orchestration environments to identify the root causes of AI cluster deployment failures.
• Collaborating with hardware engineering teams to expand and resolve hardware-related issues (e.g., BIOS, BMC, PCIe, and network switches).
• Monitoring and troubleshooting failures in automated CI/CD processes.
• Coordinating the work of a shift-based team and communicating with global technical leads.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills (minimum 5 years of experience).
• Knowledge of IP networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching (minimum 5 years of experience).
• Hardware/Firmware troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of bare-metal servers, BIOS, and BMC systems.
• Strong analytical skills, including ticket handling and analysis of system and installation logs.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Scripting skills in Bash / Python.
• Experience with network-based server deployment (PXE/netboot).
