Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy in Katowice area is hiring a Junior Network Operations Engineer to support monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. You will work with NOC engineers, network teams, vendors, and on-site staff to ensure stable, reliable services.

Candidates should know LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and DHCP, understand larger infrastructure tech, and possess strong organizational and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LAN, WLAN, Firewalls and DHCP.
• Understanding of broader infrastructure technologies.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and vendors.
• ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure and services, analyse alerts, events, and performance data to identify issues.
• Perform initial incident triage, assess impact, and support service restoration.
• Troubleshoot network and service issues, supporting investigations and root cause analysis.
• Implement approved basic network and firewall changes.
• Maintain accurate tickets, documentation, and CMDB records.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support incident resolution.
• Use existing scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
