Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to help build and develop the NOC function, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network services. The role emphasizes monitoring, incident response, automation, and coaching junior engineers.

You will collaborate with internal teams and partners to transition services, manage incidents, and implement improvements. The position offers a hybrid work model with on-site presence in Katowice.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a Network Operations environment.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Next-Generation Firewalls, and DHCP.
• Understanding of servers and cloud platforms.
• Experience with network monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Certifications such as Aruba, Palo Alto, EfficientIP are advantageous.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup of the NOC function, including tools, processes, and ways of working.

• Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive service improvements.

• Maintain documentation, configuration records, and CMDB accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency, including exploring AI opportunities in NOC operations.
• Support and coach junior NOC engineers.

We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to help build and develop our Network Operations Center (NOC) function and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network services.
