Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Kraków is seeking an experienced senior professional to support the international travel compliance project, translating requirements into scalable HR operational processes and leading implementation across HR Operations globally after go-live.

The role is temporary for two years; you will design processes, SOPs, training materials, and governance, ensuring readiness, continual improvement, and clear execution across impacted countries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cross-border mobility.
• Solid understanding of international travel compliance including social security, immigration, legal and tax obligations.
• Strong HR Operations delivery background.
• Significant experience in creating SOPs and global process documentation.
• Experience transitioning projects into BAU, setting controls and governance frameworks, and translating complex compliance requirements into scalable operational processes.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design processes and create global documentation including SOPs and work instructions.
• Define RACI and hand-off models across employees, managers, the Travel Compliance implementation partner, HR Operations teams, Payroll and Global Mobility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure global operational readiness.
• Define the support model and escalation paths and develop process governance documentation.
• Develop training materials and knowledge articles.
• Ensure HR Operations teams are properly trained on the new processes and that there is full clarity on execution across the impacted countries.
• Coordinate process validation workshops.
• Support pilot-country preparation, capture lessons learned, and drive process improvements during rollout.
• After go-live, own and maintain global documentation, training, and onboarding materials.
• Ensure continuous improvement, KPI monitoring and operational-effectiveness reviews.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced senior professional in the cross-border field to support the international travel compliance project. In your role, you will translate travel-compliance requirements into sustainable HR operational processes, create documentation, and lead the implementation within HR Operations, ensuring that teams can execute them globally after go-live.

The role is temporary, created to support the project for two years.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Design processes and create documentation including global process maps, SOPs, and work instructions, translating workstream outputs into operational processes, ensuring that operational processes are globally scalable.
• Define RACI and hand-off models across employees, managers, the Travel Compliance implementation partner, HR Operations teams, Payroll and Global Mobility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure global operational readiness.

Your Background

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the cross-border mobility area.
• Solid understanding of international travel compliance including social security, immigration, legal and tax obligations.
• Strong HR Operations delivery background.
• Significant experience in creating SOPs and global process documentation.
• Experience transitioning projects into BAU, setting controls and governance frameworks, and translating complex compliance requirements into scalable operational processes.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficient in business English.
• Previous experience in implementing HR processes for business travel compliance.
