Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced HR professional to join its People and Culture team in Poland. You will advise line managers, translate business needs into HR actions, and implement corporate HR strategy while maintaining data integrity and strong industrial relations on site.

The role requires a university degree and 5 years of HR experience in a similar environment, with fluent English and Polish language skills.

  • You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Alstom by People and Culture strategy implementation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, act as a trusted advisor on HR matters, and much more.
  • We’ll look to you for:
    • Being proximate to the business – both line managers and employees, in order to understand their issues and prepare HR actions to address them
    • Understanding and prioritising business needs, and translating them into HR actions and delivery
    • Implementing Corporate HR strategy
    • Ensuring that all policies and rules are followed according to the Delegation of Authority
    • Advicing, support and influencing management on all HR related issues, policies and processes.
    • Deploing ALPS, and assure sustainability of accuracy of data, developing and using metrics to measure HR performances
    • Assuring good Industrial Relations with unions and social partners in the site
    • Supervising local HR to deliver day to day operational support (People process, data accuracy, EHS policy)
    • Building managers’ ownership of the management of their people, including coaching at a senior level;
    • Implementing the Alstom performance management system;
    • Preparing & managing the annual People Review, including development plans and ensure feedback to individuals;
    • Defining and implementing the development activities appropriate to each individual, training programs, and measure their efficiency;
What You Bring
  • University degree, majoring in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science or economy
  • 5 years HR experience in a similar environment
  • Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice
  • Influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure
  • Professional expertise in employment law issues, redundancies, payroll and employee relations
  • Fluent in the English and Polish language, written and spoken

    • Business acumen, being able to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aims of the business is important
