Job summary

Alstom seeks a Senior Finance Project Manager for Chorzów to drive the financial success of complex projects and partner with cross-functional teams across project management, legal, and operations.

You will optimize cost, tax, hedging, and financing, provide financial guidance to the project team, ensure compliance with finance rules, and support tender finance and contract risk management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a business school, engineering school, or university equivalent.
• Experience in auditing or project operations is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with SAP.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Robust analytical and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the overall project management process alongside the Project Manager.
• Optimizing the financial strategy for the project.
• Providing financial advice and support to the project team.
• Ensuring compliance with finance rules and regulations.
• Controlling the financial performance of the project and proposing action plans.
• Raising "Early Warnings" when necessary to address risks proactively.
• Challenging and approving project financials as per Delegation of Authority (DoA).
• Supporting tender finance management.
• Supporting contract and claim management with a focus on financial risks.

Your future role

You’ll play a key role in driving the financial success of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including project management, legal, and operational excellence teams), provide financial analysis and guidance to ensure the success of the project.

You’ll specifically take care of optimizing financial aspects of projects (e.g., cost, tax, hedging, financing), but also supporting new tenders finance management.

We’ll look to you for:
