Job summary

WhyHireWrong? is seeking a Head of Software Engineering to own the entire platform engineering function. You will lead a distributed org of 50+ engineers across Europe, reporting to the CTPO.

This is a manager-of-managers role, not an IC. You will set strategy, drive modernization, and oversee integration of acquired teams. Qualifications

• Must have led large, distributed software organizations (manager-of-managers)
• Experience with enterprise B2B SaaS environments
• Broad literacy across backend, frontend and mobile stacks
• Strong communication with executives and product/line-of-business stakeholders
• Fluent English (C1+)
• Based in or near Krakow, Poland, or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the software engineering organization (~50+ engineers) across multiple European sites
• Set engineering strategy, standards, and modernization roadmap for the platform
• Drive post-acquisition integration: due diligence, onboarding, and integration of acquired teams
• Lead platform harmonization and modernization of legacy apps across a multi-brand group
• Partner with product, commercial, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver on business objectives
• Build a high-trust, high-velocity engineering culture across geographies
