Job summary

TechTree is recruiting for a client in Kraków, seeking a Head of Software Engineering to lead 50+ engineers across Europe for a growth-stage enterprise SaaS platform. The role is hybrid, with responsibility for shaping engineering vision and delivery.

You’ll partner with the CTPO to drive modernization, oversee multi-location teams, influence tech strategy, and engage major enterprise clients through trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head of Software Engineering or Director in a multi-location enterprise SaaS.
• Proven track record leading distributed engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern backend, frontend, and mobile technologies.
• Fluent English (C1+), with excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering managers across several European locations
• Develop and execute the engineering strategy, ensuring consistent standards and modernization
• Partner with the CTPO on priorities, delivery frameworks, and scaling initiatives
• Oversee modernization of applications and harmonization of tools and processes
• Support M&A activities, including technical due diligence and team onboarding
• Build trust directly with major enterprise clients
