Job summary

Vonage is seeking an engineering manager to lead a globally distributed EU/US Platform Engineering team, shaping platform, workflows, and automation while delivering at scale. You will drive the roadmap, coach engineers transitioning from SRE to platform engineering, and coordinate large-scale changes across time zones.

This role emphasizes data-driven delivery, security and regulatory compliance, and close collaboration with architects and product leadership to define platform direction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading platform, DevOps, or SRE teams.
• Experience growing engineers through skill transitions into product-oriented platform engineering.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes-based platforms (EKS) at scale.
• Solid understanding of AWS ecosystem underpinning enterprise platform infra.
• Data-driven approach to SLAs, KPIs, and security/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EU/US Platform engineering team across geographies.
• Drive the roadmap forward with Directors of Engineering and Product Owner.
• Coach team members transitioning from SRE/infrastructure to platform product engineering.
• Coordinate large-scale platform changes with multiple stakeholders and time zones.
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance; establish guardrails and policies.
• Maintain platform reliability; participate in on-call rotations.
• Partner with architects on platform direction and prioritization.
