Job summary

Coursedog seeks a Senior Director of Engineering, Core Product, to lead the day-to-day execution and health of three core product clouds—Assessment, Curriculum, and Scheduling. You will drive AI-augmented, spec-driven delivery, ensuring reliable shipping, meeting commitments, and protecting revenue.

You will report to the SVP, Software Engineering and build a sustainable, scalable engineering organization. You will be accountable for engineering velocity, quality, and reliability, shaping

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
• Experience running multiple teams or product lines at scale
• Experience leading AI transformation in engineering organizations
• Metrics-driven leadership with delivery and quality metrics
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and customer-facing teams
• Familiarity with cloud/pod delivery models and modern tooling

Responsibilities

• Own the three core product clouds (Assessment, Curriculum, Scheduling) delivery and reliability
• Lead AI-augmented, spec-driven development practices across the org
• Define and monitor delivery, quality, and reliability metrics; expose risks early
• Hire, level, coach, and develop engineering managers; build a bench
• Drive continuous improvement and operating cadence across teams
• Ensure production readiness and SLA compliance across services
