Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Commercial Enablement leader to shape EurAsia’s approach for priority GPOs and health authorities. You will translate opportunities into a practical roadmap, align regional priorities with SAA, and help elevate procurement relationships into long-term partnerships.

You will work with regional teams to monitor policy changes, reimbursement, and market dynamics, driving profitable growth and access across Europe and Asia.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience in strategic account management, business development, healthcare sales, market access, health economics, consulting, project management, procurement strategy, or related field within healthcare.
  • Proven experience working with GPOs, health authorities, centralized procurement bodies, large healthcare networks, or comparable complex healthcare customers.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations, framework agreements, contracting, pricing, rebates, and long-term partnership models.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare procurement, group purchasing dynamics, public-sector purchasing frameworks, market access, reimbursement, regulation, and cost-containment practices.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable commercial outcomes, including profitable growth, market-share expansion, pipeline conversion, and contract performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year EurAsia approach for priority GPOs, health authorities, centralized procurement bodies, and other purchasing influencers, aligned with SAA and regional priorities.
  • Segment and prioritize organizations based on strategic relevance, growth potential, profitability, scale, access, and partnership opportunity.
  • Identify the highest-value opportunities and translate them into a practical roadmap, with clear priorities, milestones, owners, resource requirements, and measures of success.
  • Distinguish strategic partnership opportunities from transactional procurement activity and clarify the appropriate Medtronic engagement model for each.
  • Monitor healthcare-system priorities, procurement models, policy developments, reimbursement changes, regulatory requirements, competitive dynamics, and emerging purchasing trends across EurAsia.
  • Identify, qualify, and accelerate opportunities for cross-selling, up-selling, therapy expansion, market-share growth, and adoption of services and solutions.
  • Lead or support the most complex negotiations, framework agreements, tenders, and multi-year partnership models in collaboration with regional and country teams.

A Day in the Life

The Group Purchasing Organization (GPOs) Commercial Enablement role is a key member of the Strategic Accounts Accelerator (SAA). SAA is a commercial enabler with the mandate to drive durable profitable growth, maximize Medtronic’s presence, and unlock new opportunities in strategic accounts to position Medtronic as the partner of choice. This role is responsible for shaping and enabling Medtronic’s EurAsia approach for priority GPOs, national and regional health authorities, centralized procurement bodies, large healthcare networks, and other purchasing influencers. The role will help elevate transactional procurement relationships into long‑term strategic partnerships, strengthen access to healthcare systems, and create incremental profitable growth through coordinated Pan‑Medtronic value propositions. Working with regional and country commercial teams, the role will develop the segmentation, governance, operating frameworks, tools, and performance visibility required to engage priority purchasing organizations consistently across EurAsia. The role will directly support priority opportunities while enabling local teams to execute effectively within country‑specific healthcare, regulatory, and procurement environments.
