Job summary

Fundraise Up, a global fundraising platform, is looking for a senior payroll and total rewards leader to own payroll, equity, and benefits across countries. You will build calendars, controls, and processes to ensure accurate, on-time pay and compliant equity programs.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, design of scalable systems, and collaboration with Finance and Legal. Experience with BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, and Carta is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in global payroll, total rewards, benefits, HRIS, or people operations with multi-country payroll ownership.
• Experience managing direct-entity, EOR/PEO, and contractor populations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience calculating bonuses or variable compensation and building controls for review/approval.
• Experience designing or administering equity and LTIP programs.
• Experience auditing an HRIS (e.g., BambooHR) including data governance, workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, equity tax considerations, and stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718).
• Proven ability to improve complex/manual processes in a scaling, distributed organization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end global payroll delivery for employees and contractors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and reconciliation.
• Calculate and validate variable compensation and bonuses for executives and non-GTM employees, coordinating inputs with partners.
• Build and run a global payroll calendar with cutoffs, review cycles, funding timelines, and SLAs.
• Design and administer equity and LTIP programs, maintaining records and cap-table integrity with Finance and Legal.
• Own global benefits administration across markets, balancing value, compliance, and cost.
• Monitor benefits utilization, competitiveness, and spend; propose data-driven changes.
• Own payroll/equity data integrity across BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, and Carta including workflows and reporting.
• Manage EOR/PEO relationships and provider governance.
• Identify recurring failure points and implement sustainable fixes rather than workarounds.
