Job summary

Customs Support Group is seeking an experienced O2C Specialist – Credit Control to join our finance team and own credit control for assigned European country portfolios and key customer accounts. You will manage customer receivables, minimize overdue balances, monitor credit risk, and support healthy cash flow in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will independently handle collections, credit exposure, and payment allocation while collaborating with local Sales, Operations and Finance

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Control, Credit Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections or a similar O2C role.
• Hands-on experience managing collections and customer receivables across multiple portfolios or countries.
• Experience with cash application and allocation of incoming customer payments.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections and credit risk for assigned European country portfolios and key customer accounts.
• Perform daily collection activities, following up on overdue receivables via phone, email and credit management systems.
• Monitor aging accounts and prioritize collection activities based on overdue balances and customer risk.
• Match and allocate daily incoming bank payments against open invoices, ensuring accurate cash application.
• Analyze customers’ financial health to support credit limits decisions and risk management.
• Monitor customer credit exposure and ensure compliance with credit limits and internal policies.
• Agree payment arrangements with customers and document actions in the credit management system.
• Send standardized payment reminders and monthly customer account statements.
• Identify and monitor payment disputes and route to Billing/Operations for resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve disputes and support cash flow.
• Support inquiries regarding outstanding receivables, invoices, and account status.
• Coordinate external debt collection processes when needed.
• Prepare aging analyses, collection reports and portfolio overviews for Country Managers.
• Identify opportunities to improve O2C and credit control processes.
