Job summary

Schaeffler is hiring a SAP HCM/Payroll Consultant to manage German payroll operations and ensure compliant, timely salary payments. You will guide clients and internal teams on payroll rules, collaborate with HR and IT to optimize systems, and drive payroll projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in managing payroll processes within Germany.
• Knowledge of German labor laws, tax regulations, and social security systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing and processing payroll operations in compliance with German regulations and standards as well as German general/works council agreements
• Ensuring our systems deliver accurate calculation and timely payment of salaries, taxes, and social contributions
• Providing expert guidance on German payroll matters to clients and internal teams
• Staying updated on changes in payroll legislation and ensure system compliance
• Collaborating with the HR System teams and the business to optimize payroll systems and processes
• Managing projects for German Payroll by taking responsibility for planning, execution, and completion within scope, schedule, and budget
• Driving project milestones, coordinating resources and overseeing project deliverables
• Assisting in projects and rollouts as an IT SME for German Payroll and supporting the business in defining requirements
