Job summary

Promise Group is seeking an experienced Fullstack .NET Developer to evolve a business-critical platform. You will work on .NET, SharePoint On-Premises, Azure AI services and modern web tech, delivering new features 80% of the time and maintenance 20%.

You will own design decisions, discuss requirements with the client, and deliver end-to-end improvements with independence and ownership.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of C# and .NET platform implementations.
• Experience with .NET 8 and legacy .NET Framework 4.8.
• Hands-on with SharePoint On-Premises 2016/2019 development and maintenance.
• Strong SQL skills and frontend basics with Angular or Blazor.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features using .NET, SharePoint, and modern web tech.
• Build solutions on Azure services and AI tools including Azure OpenAI.
• Develop both backend and frontend components and ensure integration across layers.
• Diagnose and fix issues in an existing SharePoint-based platform.
• Collaborate with client to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Estimate tasks, own features end-to-end from idea to deployment.

Promise Group specializes in software licensing optimization, IT systems design, implementation, maintenance, and business application development.

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack .NET Developer to join a project focused primarily on the development of new features and further evolution of an existing business-critical platform.

The solution combines .NET, SharePoint On-Premises, modern web technologies and Microsoft Azure. An important part of the project is the development of new capabilities using AI services, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Document Intelligence.

This role offers a high level of independence and ownership. You will work closely with the Project Manager and directly with the client – discussing requirements, proposing technical solutions and taking features from initial idea through implementation to delivery.

The work is approximately 80% development of new functionalities and 20% maintenance, troubleshooting and bug fixing.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing new features using .NET, SharePoint and web technologies.
• Developing solutions using Azure services and AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Document Intelligence.
• Designing and implementing both backend and frontend components.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting an existing solution based on SharePoint On-Premises.
• Analyzing and resolving application, integration and data-related issues.
• Working directly with the client to understand business needs and clarify requirements.
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions and development tasks.
• Participating in client meetings and technical discussions.
• Proposing technical solutions and making implementation decisions.
• Estimating and breaking down development tasks.
• Taking ownership of features from requirements clarification through implementation and deployment.
• Maintaining and continuously improving the existing solution.

Our Requirements

• Very good knowledge of C#.
• Practical experience with .NET 8 and .NET Framework 4.8.
• Experience with SharePoint On-Premises 2016/2019, including development, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server.
• Experience with frontend technologies:
  • Angular 2+,
  • Blazor.
• Experience with Hangfire or similar background job processing solutions.
• Practical knowledge of Git.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot existing applications.
• Ability to understand an existing codebase and independently implement new features and changes.
• Ability to communicate directly with the client, gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• High level of independence, ownership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

Azure & AI

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and at least some of the following services:
  • Azure Storage,
  • Azure Event Grid,
  • Azure Functions,
  • Azure AI Document Intelligence,
  • Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with designing or implementing solutions based on Azure OpenAI, LLMs or Generative AI will be a strong advantage.

Nice to Have

• MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development certification or an equivalent SharePoint development certification.
• Experience integrating SharePoint solutions with external systems and Azure services.
• Knowledge of software architecture and application integration patterns.
