Job summary

Storyblok is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Foundations & Enablement group, ensuring fast, secure, and consistent delivery for partner engineering teams. You will own standards, tooling, and shared systems and guide both frontend and backend engineers, managing people, performance, growth, and capacity.

You will prioritize across multiple product roadmaps, partner with Infrastructure, recruit and coach engineers, and shape the platform's technical direction in a globally

Qualifications

• 7+ years of advanced software development experience with leadership.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Frontend and backend exposure across multiple stacks.
• Experience with scalability, reliability, observability, and security.
• Own platform, DevOps, security, or developer-tooling work.
• Knowledge of testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident response familiarity and strong problem-solving.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers focusing on delivery and growth.
• Balance technical roadmaps with product requests and trade-offs.
• Maintain engineering-wide standards for security, tooling, and CI/CD.
• Partner with Infrastructure on shared platform concerns.
• Mentor engineers and promote active coaching within the team.
• Support technical decision-making while ensuring effective delivery.
• Establish estimates, monitor progress, and resolve blockers.
• Own recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to expand the team.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones to set goals and provide feedback.
• Foster documentation and open communication across the org.
• Promote empathy and a positive culture in a remote, distributed team.
