Job summary

Storyblok is seeking an Engineering Manager for Foundations & Enablement to lead a cross-functional team that keeps engineering fast, secure, and consistent. You will own standards, tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience, guiding both frontend and backend engineers while shaping the platform's technical roadmap.

You'll recruit, coach, and develop talent, partner with Infrastructure, and foster a remote-first culture across an international team committed to quality, reliability, and scale.

Qualifications

• Weeks of 7+ years of software development experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across frontend and backend.
• Hands-on with scalability, reliability, observability, and security principles.
• Experience owning platform, DevOps, security, or developer-tooling work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a cross-functional team of engineers focusing on delivery and people development.
• Balance the team's technical roadmap with requests from multiple product teams.
• Maintain and evolve engineering-wide standards including security, tooling, and CI/CD.
• Partner with Infrastructure on shared platform concerns with clear ownership.
• Mentor team members and promote a culture of coaching and growth.
• Drive recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to grow the team.
• Set goals, monitor progress, and provide continuous feedback.
• Foster documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering org.
