Job summary

Moniepoint Inc., a leading financial platform, seeks an Engineering Manager to drive delivery of strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams. You will translate requirements into EPICs, plan sprints, and ensure high-quality outputs while maintaining strong engineering standards.

You will lead, mentor, and align engineers with product goals, oversee monitoring and metrics, and collaborate closely with product, UX, and QA to balance speed and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8-10 years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer or similar hands-on role.
• 5+ years building production systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Minimum 3 years of proven engineering leadership experience.
• Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams within your product area, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.
• Translate business and product requirements into EPICs and technical user stories.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to groom the backlog.
• Plan and drive sprint execution with defined goals and milestones.
• Champion engineering processes and rituals to boost collaboration and efficiency.
• Monitor velocity and capacity to optimize resource allocation.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and stakeholder alignment to remove bottlenecks.
• Guide design decisions, enforce sound patterns, and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure robust monitoring, observability, and SLIs/SLOs for owned services.
