Job summary

Sidel Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the engineering team in the technical mechanical department, focusing on machine design, CAD work, and production support for packaging lines. The engineer will collaborate with the mechanical team to manage machine order fulfillment and ensure specifications and delivery dates are met.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree required (BE/BTech).
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical industries.
  • Experience with liquid packaging machinery or special purpose machines advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite training (project dependent).
  • Knowledge of hygienic design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design Sidel machines in conformity with specifications and timelines.
  • Create CAD designs for production and BOMs for projects.
  • Follow up all project activities to meet delivery dates.
  • Implementation and tracking of reference files; reports as required.
  • Collaborate across teams; manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitary standards for industries like food/pharma.

In collaboration with the mechanical team, the engineer will design the machines in respect of customers' requirements. The mechanical engineer will be part of the engineering team in the technical mechanical department, managing machine order fulfillment. This position will have a specific focus on the following activities: - Technical specification analysis and project definition - CAD designs productions - BOMs production - Follow up of all the activities related to the project to respect the delivery date.

  • Design Sidel machines in conformity with the specification and delay.
  • Conduct modification’s studies of technical solutions.
  • Respect technical and budgetary rules for a project.
  • Ensure the implementation, tracking and continual improvement of reference files.
  • Reports, according to the projects, a Leader Study, a Study Engineer, or the Study Manager
  • Good communication skills and ability to work on different projects at the same time – flexibility.

Technical Skills:

  • SolidWorks and proficiency in any 3D CAD software
