Job summary

ASBIS, a multinational distributor and solutions provider, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop detailed mechanical designs and technical schematics, focusing on functional and manufacturing-ready solutions, in collaboration with software and product teams. You will translate requirements into practical SOLIDWORKS designs, create manufacturing-ready drawings, and support design changes.

Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and proven SOLIDWORKS experience; responsibilities include

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS (design-focused).
• Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Solid understanding of mechanical components and assemblies, materials and manufacturing processes, tolerances and technical documentation standards.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into practical mechanical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, primarily SOLIDWORKS.
• Develop detailed mechanical schematics and drawings (dimensions, tolerances, materials).
• Create manufacturing-ready documentation and technical drawings.
• Design internal layouts and structures of devices and equipment.
• Participate in design reviews and iterations based on engineering and production feedback.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and other engineers, including software teams where hardware-software interaction is involved.
• Ensure designs meet technical, functional, and manufacturability requirements.
• Support engineering changes and continuous design improvements.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for the development of detailed mechanical designs and technical schematics for devices and equipment. The role focuses on functional and manufacturing-ready design.

The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software and product management, and contribute to the development of technically robust and production-ready solutions.
