Job summary

Sidel Group seeks a Field Commissioning Engineer – Automation to lead start-up, testing and commissioning of advanced filling and packaging equipment at customer sites worldwide. This hands-on role blends technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration, supporting aseptic prototypes and troubleshooting complex systems on projects.

The position involves on-site service during and after warranty, on-site RCA-driven problem solving, and contributing to internal/external qualifications while

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Technical professional qualification.
• Fluency in Italian and in English is a must-have; French or other languages are a plus.
• Experience in cabling and testing of complex machinery or field/service activities would be an advantage.
• Deep knowledge of automation devices (PLC, HMI) linked to motion control across major brands and networks.
• Capable to manage stressful situations.
• Organized, able to conceptualize ideas into professional reports.
• Problem solving (troubleshooting and RCA) and customer orientation.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with technicians and customers.
• No restrictions to travelling worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commissioning, test and services on fillers of high complexity.
• Technical assistance onsite during and after warranty period for high complex machines.
• Intervention on site in case of technical issues that require a specific RCA & troubleshooting.
• Improve personal competences on complete combi, trade associated equipment and line equipment.
• Support in the workshop for internal qualification of aseptic prototypes (run-off, assembly, test).
• Support onsite for external qualification of technical modifications and variants.
• Responsible for equipment performances at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.

• Start up, commissioning, test and services on Fillers of high complexity;
• Technical assistance onsite during and after warranty period for high complex machines;
• Intervention on site in case of technical issues that require a specific RCA & troubleshooting;
• Improve personal competences on complete combi, trade associated equipment and line equipment;
• Support in the workshop for internal qualification of Aseptic prototypes (run-off, assembly, test);
• Support onsite for external qualification of technical modifications and variants;
• Responsible of equipment performances at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.
