Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional experience in a customer-facing role.
• German at B2+ level or higher.
• Good command of English.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.
• Resilience and persistence in challenging conversations.
• Customer-oriented mindset and professional/diplomatic communication.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in collections, Accounts Receivable or Finance is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Contacting tenants regarding outstanding payments and overdue balances.
• Clarifying payment discrepancies and open items.

• Maintaining regular communication with tenants, primarily via email.
• Handling incoming calls and proactively contacting tenants by phone when necessary.

As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a Debt Collector with German who enjoys working with people, building professional relationships and finding solutions.

Your role

As a Debt Collector, you will be in regular contact with our tenants in Germany, supporting them with payment-related topics and helping to resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies.

This is a role for someone who feels comfortable communicating with customers and can combine a friendly approach with persistence and ownership.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contacting tenants regarding outstanding payments and overdue balances
• Clarifying payment discrepancies and open items
• Following up on overdue payments in a professional and customer-oriented manner
• Maintaining regular communication with tenants, primarily via email
• Handling incoming calls and, when necessary, proactively contacting tenants by phone

Your profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and communicating with customers, while also being comfortable following up when something needs to be resolved.

• At least 1 year of professional experience in a customer-facing role, such as Customer Service, Collections, Accounts Receivable or a similar position
• German at B2+ level or higher
• Good command of English
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
• Resilience and persistence, particularly when dealing with challenging or sensitive conversations
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Previous experience in collections, Accounts Receivable or Finance is an advantage, but not essential
