Job summary

Hitachi Energy Kraków is seeking a customs and trade specialist to coordinate import/export operations and ensure full trade compliance within the Hitachi Energy group. You will check shipping documentation, prepare SAP GTS instructions for customs agencies, and stay in touch with internal customers to resolve customs matters.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in customs/trade or logistics, knowledge of HS codes and Incoterms, and English at B2 level.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customs/trade/logistics.
• Knowledge of Customs Law and Regulations (HS codes, Incoterms, procedures).
• Experience with SAP GTS is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Hard skill: detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customs operations (import and export) for Hitachi Energy group.
• Check shipping documents to ensure trade compliance.
• Prepare customs instructions in SAP GTS for Customs Agencies.
• Liaise with internal customers to provide and receive information on customs matters.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

The Opportunity: Trade, Transport & Logistics Centre of Expertise in Kraków, Poland

Currently to extend capability of Swedish team, we are looking for specialist ready to support the team responsible to coordinate customs operations (import/export), check shipping documentation to ensure trade compliance, prepare monthly reports.

Take responsibility for cooperation with internal and external parties to confirm customs-related payments are issued in a timely manner.

This is opportunity to develop customs & trade experience in our very fast-growing market.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Coordinate customs operations (import and export) for Hitachi Energy group;
• Check shipping documentation to ensure trade compliance;
• Prepare customs instruction in SAP GTS system for Customs Agencies according to internal regulations.
• Stay in touch with internal customers to receive and provide information on customs related matters;
• Seek savings opportunities;

Your Background:

• Experience: min 2 years of experience in customs/ trade / logistic area;
• Knowledge of Customs Law and Regulations (HS codes, Incoterms, customs procedures: free trade, IPR, OPR etc.);
• System skills: experience with SAP GTS is a plus;
• Soft skills: good communication & organizing skills;
• Hard skills: detail-oriented;
• Language skills: English language at least B2 level;
• Nice to have: Field of study: SCM/logistics - nice to have experience in Customer Service job will be advantage
