Job summary

Embla Medical seeks a Cost Controller to lead global standard cost updates, maintain COGS data, and support manufacturing cost insights across sites in Iceland and Poland. You will turn data into actionable analysis for Finance and Operations.

In a small, international team, you’ll partner with Finance Control, IT, and operations to drive cost control initiatives, support quarterly closes, and enable better business decisions through rigorous costing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with financial and operational data.
• Experience in an international environment and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Polish language skills would be an advantage.
• Advanced Excel; SQL is an advantage.
• Project-oriented approach and interest in data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the annual global standard cost update process.
• Maintain COGS data and cost updates throughout the year.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances for sites in Iceland and Poland.
• Provide manufacturing management and the Finance Business Partner with inventory and variance analysis.
• Partner with local manufacturing directors on cost control and accounting matters.
• Support Finance Control activities including quarterly and year-end closing, COGS- and inventory-related analyses.

By turning complex data into clear analysis and sharing it with the right stakeholders, you will help Finance and Operations better understand performance, variances and opportunities for improvement.This is a role for someone with a strong finance background who is interested in moving closer to data analytics. You will work in a small, globally connected team and collaborate with Finance Control, IT, Operations, Finance Business Partners and manufacturing leaders in Iceland and Poland. The role combines hands-on analysis with a project-oriented approach and regular communication across functions.
