Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service.
• Strong phone presence with outbound calls.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally and empathetically.
• Proficient with CRM or account management systems.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to clients regarding payment status and overdue accounts.
• Contact references and guarantors when required to assist in collection efforts.
• Send payment reminders via phone, email, or messaging in a professional and courteous manner.
• Document all client communication and follow-up activity accurately in the CRM or tracking system.
• Negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate and follow through to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams for loan processing, account updates, and payment posting.
• Verify client information, account details, and payment history to support collections efforts.
• Update records to reflect payment commitments, promises to pay, and outcomes of communication.
• Assist with account reconciliation and tracking of outstanding balances.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding collections.
• Provide regular reports on collections activity and status of accounts.
