Job summary

Ecolab Kraków is seeking a Collection Specialist with English to join our Collection Team. You will proactively chase payments, manage accounts, and support SOX controls while maintaining data quality.

• Min. 2 years of credit/collections experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; additional European language is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Customer service experience with large corporate customers in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency in analysing financial data.
• Ability to identify risks in accounts and mitigate them.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; multitasking capability.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Experience working in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively chase for payments via incoming and outgoing calls.
• Document and update account status; handle referrals and transfers of funds.
• Chase for remit of payments received and provide required documents.
• Initiate write-off requests per policy.
• Identify, resolve and escalate queries as needed.
• Support clearing cash accounts by transferring funds as needed.
• Request credit notes and coordinate with billing resources.
• Manage refunds for overpayments and credits balance.
• Maintain data quality and system operation standards.
• Produce and provide collection-related reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve account issues causing payment delays.
• Support and manage controls and SOX processes.

Right now, we are looking for Collection Specialist with English to join our Collection Team.

What you will do:

• Proactively chase for payments through incoming and outgoing phone calls.

• Document and change the status of accounts, handle referrals, and transfer funds on accounts.

• Chase for remit for payments received and provide copy documents.

• Initiate write-off requests following approval policy.

• Identify, resolve and eliminate queries as necessary.

• Support clearing cash accounts by transferring funds as needed.

• Request credit notes and coordinate with billing resources.

• Manage refunds for overpayments and credit balances.

• Maintain high standards of system operation and data quality.

• Produce reports as required and provide collection-related reporting.

• Troubleshoot and resolve account issues driving payment delays.

• Actively support and manage controls and compliance with SOX defined processes.

What You Will Need:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English (other European language will be an asset).

• Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access), proficiency with ERP systems.

• Min. 2 Years of credit/collections experience.

• Customer service experience related to large corporate customers as well as with high-volume and multi-platform environments.

• Proficiency in analysing financial data.

• Ability to identify potential risk in your account portfolio as well as the ability to manage and mitigate these risks.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in a shared services environment.
