Ecolab in Kraków is expanding its Centre of Excellence and seeking a Senior Accountant (or Accounting Lead) to join our team. The role focuses on financial reporting and taxation, with opportunities to work across Europe and interact with multiple functions.

You will prepare statutory financial statements, support external audits, handle income tax entries, and collaborate with authorities and internal teams. Hybrid work arrangement offered, with relocation support for international candidates.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree in accounting, taxation or audit; accounting qualifications or vocational secondary education diplomas related to accounting are an asset
• At least 3 years' experience in accounting (in an accounting practice, audit, shared services with exposure to wide range of accounting topics)
• Good knowledge of financial reporting and fundamentals of taxation
• Strong communication in English, both spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and support external audit for European entities
• Prepare income tax accounting entries and reports and assist with annual tax returns in coordination with external advisors and tax team
• Gather additional tax and financial information as required by various departments
• Assist with interactions with authorities in coordination with local finance teams
• Partner with Transfer Pricing, Planning & Analysis, GL Accounting, Treasury, Legal and others to incorporate new accounting/tax developments into financial statements
• Support automation, standardization and new technologies for in-scope processes
• Deliver ad-hoc projects and requests

We are expanding our Kraków Centre of Excellence and are looking for additional Senior Accountants (or Accounting Leads, depending on level of experience) to join the team. The team offers significant opportunities to develop financial reporting and taxation experience to candidates who have prior accounting / financial reporting knowledge.

How you'll make an impact:

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and support the external audit process for European entities

• Prepare income tax accounting entries and reports as well as prepare input for preparation of annual tax returns – assisted by external advisors and corporate tax team

• Gather additional tax and financial information as required by various departments

• Assist with interactions with authorities in coordination with local finance teams

• Partner with other teams (Transfer Pricing, Planning & Analysis, GL Accounting, Treasury, Legal Department, others) and with external advisors to ensure new accounting, statutory or tax developments are incorporated into financial statements and other reportings

• Support the introduction of automation, standardization and new technologies for in-scope processes

• Deliver ad-hoc projects and requests
