Job summary

USO in Bemowo Piskie, Poland is seeking a Center Operations Specialist to oversee daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for service members and their families.

You will help design and deliver programs and events, manage volunteers, monitor inventory and budgets, and collaborate with military and community partners to ensure engaging, cost-efficient experiences. Housing and transportation allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years work experience in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role.
• Experience in a non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics; experience with volunteer management software and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operational procedures, ensuring a cost-effective, safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Engage and interact with Center visitors, troubleshoot issues, and direct vendors as needed.
• Help maintain Center operations within budget and report on inventory, cash handling, and provide data for reports.
• Create and maintain an SOP file detailing local procedures and activities.
• Plan and oversee programs, logistics, inventory management, budget, social media and database management.
• Assist with operations communications and awareness; prepare announcements and photos for media and website publications.
• Deliver or assist in planning and evaluating new and existing USO programs and events on/off installations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop relationships with the US military, community leaders, partners and donors.
• Coordinate volunteers and resources; oversee volunteer participation and maintain volunteer reports.
• Direct prospective volunteers through the application process and coordinate on-the-job training.
• May be required to operate a USO or personal motor vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.
