The role focuses on requirements analysis, system development, and maintenance within a European Union agency project for operational reporting digitalization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of professional IT experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • Holding two certifications from UML/BPM/CBAP or equivalents.
  • Knowledge of BPMN notation.
  • Experience eliciting and analyzing user requirements.
  • Knowledge of UML, including use case, activity, state diagrams, and data models.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as Sparx EA or ARIS Architect.
  • Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst on value stream mapping, business process improvement, or reengineering.
  • Expertise in planning, facilitating, and managing workshops.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured interviews, including questionnaire design and development.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The project is delivered for a European Union agency and focuses on the development and maintenance of a system supporting operational and management reporting. The solution enables the collection, processing, and sharing of data across various organizational units, streamlining information flow and supporting decision-making processes. Operating in an enterprise environment, the system is integrated with a range of tools and platforms used in the organization's daily operations. Due to the growing scale of activities and the need to standardize reporting processes, the solution is continuously enhanced with new functionalities and improvements. The role involves collaborating on requirements analysis, system development and maintenance, as well as supporting its ongoing digital transformation in close cooperation with business stakeholders and technical teams.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
  • Analyzing business needs and user requirements.
  • Supporting business experts and product owners in defining requirements and throughout the software development process.
  • Analyzing existing client's solutions and market tools to ensure interoperability and compatibility of new solutions with existing systems.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to both management and technical stakeholders.
  • Managing requirements on an ongoing basis, supporting or participating in validation and verification activities, testing, user guide development, and training delivery.
  • Coordinating analysis and testing activities related to the digitalization of operational reporting processes.
  • Supporting testing, quality assurance, and change management activities within operational reporting digitalization initiatives.
  • Documenting analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Providing business analysis services for operational reporting process digitalization projects.
  • Identifying related business objectives and translating them into project goals.
  • Eliciting, documenting, and prioritizing high-level and detailed business and system requirements for specific solutions within projects or project initiation activities.
  • Modeling and documenting business architecture, including value chains, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT, including at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology or a related field.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • Holding at least two certifications from the following areas: Certified UML Professional (or another UML-related certification), BPM 2 (or an equivalent business process modeling certification), CBAP (or an equivalent certification).
  • Knowledge of business process modeling using BPMN notation.
  • Experience in eliciting and analyzing user requirements.
  • Knowledge of analysis and modeling notations such as UML (use case diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, logical data models, etc.).
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or similar solutions.
  • Ability to effectively create and maintain analytical and project documentation.
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst on projects focused on value stream mapping, business process improvement, or business process reengineering.
  • Expertise in planning, facilitating, and managing workshops.
  • Experience and knowledge in preparing and conducting structured and unstructured interviews, including questionnaire design and development.
