Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center. You will design and implement data platforms on Microsoft Fabric, integrating enterprise data sources for reporting and analytics.

The role requires 5+ years in Azure data engineering, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on experience with Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks. Based in Poland, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers while staying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform designed to ensure consistent data availability for reporting, application, and analytical use cases
• Work primarily with structured data, including financial, manufacturing, procurement, sales & marketing, pricing
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT processes, and other data processing tools
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas to support business needs
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
• Ensure security best practices and compliance are maintained across the Azure architecture
• Provide ongoing support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems promptly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data solutions that align with business goals
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Azure technologies and best practices
