EY Poland is seeking an Applied AI Engineering professional to bridge business needs and engineering delivery. You will work with client business teams to frame opportunities, document requirements and translate them into actionable AI-enabled solutions.

The role involves shaping prototypes, ensuring business value, and collaborating with technology leads. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in business analysis, with expertise in SQL, Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 4+ years in business analysis in tech/data/AI projects or a Master’s with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping and translating business needs into technology delivery.
• Ability to work with both business stakeholders and technical/data teams.
• Strong problem-framing skills to turn ambiguous needs into actionable problems.
• Data literacy with practical data analysis using SQL, Excel and Power BI.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical audiences.
• Ability to progress in fast-moving environments with incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
• Working understanding of data, AI and generative AI concepts and safe AI practices.
• Willingness to continuous development and new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients’ business teams to identify and prioritise high-value data and AI opportunities.
• Document requirements and map related business processes and data.
• Define success measures and the business value case for prototypes.
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for engineers.
• Perform light data analysis, profiling and create simple views/visualisations.
• Prioritize prototype backlog with the Tech Lead and support build/pivot/stop decisions.
• Prepare de-risked requirements and data definitions for handover to Solution Engineering.
• Support stakeholder communication, solution demonstrations and early adoption.
• Apply industry knowledge, especially in financial services, to align with regulatory realities.
