Job summary

EY Poland's Applied AI Engineering team seeks a Forward-Deployed Architect to shape data and AI solutions from day one in client engagements.

Embed with client teams, define target architectures, and ensure governance and security from discovery through production, including EU AI Act and GDPR considerations.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in software/AI engineering and strong cloud skills (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), with consulting or forward-deployed experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of software, data or AI engineering and architecture experience.
• Proven track record designing data/AI/agentic solutions and taking them to production.
• Strong architecture skills across data platforms and AI/GenAI patterns.
• Experience in consulting, product, or forward-deployed settings.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client and forward‑deployed teams to shape architecture from discovery to prototype to production.
• Make fast, pragmatic technology decisions under ambiguity balancing speed and scalability.
• Define target architecture and production path for validated prototypes.
• Ensure prototypes are built with governance, data handling, and compliance in mind (EU AI Act, GDPR, DORA).
• Evaluate and select tools/frameworks across data platforms, AI/ML, and agentic AI.
• Translate business intent for engineering teams and manage accelerators/blueprints.
• Communicate technical direction to senior client stakeholders.
