Job summary

EY Poland is seeking a Forward-Deployed Data & AI Engineer to join our Applied AI Engineering team. You will be embedded with client business teams, turning ambiguous problems into working data-to-AI solutions in weeks rather than months.

You will work across data wrangling, AI/ML workflows, GenAI and agentic solutions, collaborating with a Tech Lead to shape requirements and scale solutions for financial services clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on data/AI/softw are engineering for senior (or 2+ years with a master).
• Strong Python and SQL; experience building data pipelines and AI/ML or GenAI solutions.
• Experience with LLM/agent frameworks and RAG patterns.
• End-to-end data handling and cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to turn problems into end-to-end data-to-AI solutions.
• Profile and wrangle source data; build lightweight pipelines and integrations for prototypes.
• Design and demonstrate AI/ML workflows, GenAI and agentic solutions on data.
• Iterate fast on feedback; build, demo, learn, repeat to prove or kill ideas.
• Distil clear data and solution requirements; source mappings and de-risked designs.
• Build responsibly with data quality, lineage, privacy, guardrails and compliance.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead, architects and stakeholders.
• Contribute to reusable accelerators and engineering practices.
