Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SERVICES SP. Z O.O. in Krakow, Poland, seeks an AI Experimentation Engineer in the Technology Validation team of the DAAI organization to turn AI opportunities into feasibility experiments, demonstrators and technical spikes.

You will design time-boxed experiments and build prototypes to learn and convince architecture and delivery teams. The role requires 3+ years in AI/ML experimentation, strong Python skills (JavaScript/TypeScript welcome), cloud AI familiarity, and fluent

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML experimentation, prototyping, software engineering, data science or applied AI.
• Strong hands-on programming skills (Python preferred; JavaScript/TypeScript welcome).
• Familiarity with cloud AI platforms (Azure preferred; GCP or AWS an advantage).
• Experience evaluating LLMs, ML models, AI services or integrations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and run time-boxed experiments and technical spikes against learning questions.
• Build prototypes, test harnesses and reference implementations.
• Conduct fair comparative evaluations of AI models, LLMs, services or integrations.
• Create early demonstrators to make new AI capabilities tangible for stakeholders.
