Job summary

Hitachi Energy Services SP. Z O.O. is seeking an AI Research Engineer to translate emerging AI research into practical validation questions, run prototypes and benchmarks, and inform architecture and delivery teams.

You will interpret results with methodological rigor and collaborate across research, engineering and business units. The role focuses on credible AI advances, cross‑functional collaboration and reusable test assets, with no production systems responsibility and opportunity for

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in applied AI research, AI engineering or ML research.
• Strong programming skills with hands-on AI/ML experimentation, benchmarking and evaluation.
• Reading research and technical claims critically and translating them into practical experiments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AI research, publications, benchmarks and model documentation; identify developments for practical testing.
• Translate research insights into validated experiments with baselines and success criteria.
• Run prototypes, benchmarks and comparisons across LLMs, RAG, agentic AI and responsible-AI evaluation.
