Job summary

Relativity is seeking an Advanced AI Engineer to build and extend the agent runtime on the Agent Harness team. You will work with LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents to create robust, scalable runtimes for multi-agent systems and ensure production-grade reliability.

You will mature the harness with capabilities like long-session handling, protocol support, and memory, while collaborating with Applied Science and aiR teams to move features from experiments into production safely.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python building production systems.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems with LangChain/LangGraph, including tool calling and state management.
• Strong async Python, API design, and relational data (PostgreSQL).
• Experience delivering cloud-native systems (Azure or similar) with CI/CD and containers (Docker); familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the agent runtime in Python using LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents.
• Implement harness capabilities for streaming, tool calling, and memory management.
• Contribute to extensibility and protocol layers with MCP and A2A interoperability.
• Help agents choose models for different use cases across LLM providers.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to move capabilities from experiment to production safely.
