Job summary

Mashreq in Pakistan seeks a Senior Associate – Exports/ Imports (RCSA) to manage trade operations and document handling with strict adherence to SOPs and international standards. The role requires precise sanction checks, accurate accounting entries, and effective collaboration within the team.

You will input and authorize transactions, generate SWIFT messages, and address customer service issues while ensuring no revenue leakage and timely reconciliations in Nostro and internal accounts.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in trade operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of import payments (trust receipts, advance payments, funded risks).
• Strong accounting entries understanding and UAT knowledge.
• Attention to detail, team player, and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Process documents per SOP/OPMs and UCP/ISBP/ISP guidelines.
• Perform sanction checks on relevant parties in documents.
• Handle commodity trade operations documents end-to-end.
• Authorize/input transactions and prepare relevant SWIFT messages.
• Address ad-hoc tasks and share gaps with the team to resolve issues.
• Ensure no revenue leakage due to missed charges and reconcile accounts.

Key result Areas

• All processing should be as per SOP/OPM’s and UCP/ISBP/ISP as applicable and charges recovery to be as per the extant guidelines.
• Perform sanction checking of relevant parties in documents
• Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents
• Responsible for authorizing/inputting transactions into the system and prepare/authorize relevant SWIFT messages
• Ad-hoc tasks given by the Team Head
• Ensure errors/knowledge gaps are shared with line manager/team to address customer service issues.
• No revenue leakage due to miss out in charges collection
• No outstanding reconciliation entries pending in Nostro or Internal accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3-4 years of relevant working experiences in Trade Operations
• Expert level knowledge in Understanding of Import Payments (Trust Receipts, Advance Payments, Funded Risk Participations)
• Expert level knowledge of accounting entries and UATs.
• Understanding of amortization principles
• Good communication skills, Team Management and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Attentive to details, good analytical skills and interpersonal skills
• Able to work under pressure, excellent organizational skills and good team player.
