Job summary

Mashreq Careers in Pakistan seeks a Senior Associate in Trade Operations to manage guarantees, amendments, cancellations, closures, claims and related activities. You will authorise transactions per SOPs and ICC guidelines across Trade Finance for various business segments. Bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years in Trade Operations are required, with strong knowledge of import payments, accounting entries and UATs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations
• Expert knowledge of Import Payments (Trust Receipts, Advance Payments, Funded Risk Participations)
• Expert knowledge of accounting entries and UATs
• Understanding of amortization principles
• Good communication, team management and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure processing adheres to SOP/OPMs and UCP/ISBP/ISP where applicable; manage charges per guidelines
• Perform sanction checks of relevant parties in documents
• Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents
• Authorize/input transactions into processing system and prepare/authorize SWIFT messages
• Handle ad-hoc tasks from Team Head
• Share knowledge gaps with line manager to address customer service issues
• Prevent revenue leakage from charges and ensure no Nostro or internal account reconciliation gaps
